Organic Lime Essential Oil

Lime shares many of the emotional and therapeutic properties with Lemon. It's clean, bright and uplifting scent help raise the spirits while energising those who inhale it. Research has also found it to be filled with anti-aging compounds meaning it's a great natural ingredient for anti-aging skincare formulations (see our Rebirth Facial Serum).

One of the first blends I tried it in that I really liked was a rollerball recipe I called "Wake Up". It contains the following oils:

• 15 drops of Lime Essential Oil
• 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil
• 3 drops of Vetiver Essential Oil
• 10 ml of Jojoba Oil

This blend is, at once, both enlivening and grounding. You can increase the volume of the recipe to 30 or 100 mls and use it as a bath, body or massage oil. However you use it, I am sure you'll find it gives you a burst of positivity and energy whilst the vetiver and sandalwood keep you grounded and connected to the world around you.
