Business in a Box
Are you passionate about health and wellness? Are you looking for a business you can fit in around your other commitments? Would you like to break into a market that's growing and projected to grow even more over the next 5 - 10 years? If so, please read on!
As you might be aware, consumers are increasingly looking for healthy options in a wide range of sectors including food, clothing and skincare and these markets are growing. Between 2024 and 2025, organic health and beauty grew by 8%. And that's just customers looking for organic products. When it comes to beauty, an even bigger portion of customers are looking to avoid toxic ingredients. A 2023 survey of 500 consumers in the US found that the most important factor when looking for beauty products was that they were non-toxic. Research suggests the natural skincare sector as a whole sector will almost double by 2035, so, if you want to get into a growth industry now for a low start up cost, read on!
In a way, it seems crazy that products contain toxins, but, having played around with a lot of products over the years and working for multiple manufacturers and distributors I can see why it happens. The logistics cost required to ensure toxin-free products are fresh when they reach customers make them prohibitively expensive for most consumers. Natural products such as serums and anything water-based have very short shelf-lives. While the base ingredients themselves might last for several years, the finished products typically last a matter of months, and that's they are stored properly (e.g. kept cool and in the dark). It's simply too expensive for large corporations and retail chains to tailor their manufacturing, distribution and stock control processes for natural products. The only way to make it work is to either make products yourself or buy from someone who is making them to order. And that's where the "Rosie Blends Business in a Box" comes in.
I love research and development, so am constantly creating new products. However, once I have perfected a product, there's not much excitement for me in making it 100's of times. I am aware there are lots of people who would like an ethical business they can fit around their lifestyle. Many of these same people would enjoy bottling oils and making serums and going to small local markets to sell them. It's quick and easy and can be scaled up or down quickly. As I am keen for as many people as possible to have access to affordable, natural and organic skincare made freshly, if this is you, I want to work with you!
Below are the four different options I offer to anyone starting a business. I recommend starting with the Trial Pack if you are new to skincare and the Beautician's Business if you are already an established beautician. Amateur Alchemist is for people who want to mix their own serums and sell the finished products rather than using them on customers. Finally, the I'm All In option is for people with an established network who want to make serums and know they have a large enough client base to sell them within a few years.
Please click on one of these options to see what it contains and learn whether working with me could work for you.

I believe that businesses need to learn from nature. Nature frequently builds structures that are strong and robust because they are decentralised and the load is shared.
Years ago, I was discussing a business model with a lawyer who was explaining to me that, because his cases required a deep personal understanding of the client, he needed to either work directly with them, or support someone who was working directly with them. He couldn't outsource the relationship to a junior. As soon as the person was the primary contact for the client, they had to lead on the case. I think it's like that with skincare.
There is so much variety between people's skin and, while I can certainly help people I know, meet in person or discuss concerns with on the phone (though, obviously, this requires a lot more time than looking at someone's skin!) I think the way it can best scale is for people to teach themselves through trial and error and, for those people for whom that is not a fun game, with informed people informing other people. I hope you'll join me.
