Thyme is an oil I was drawn to for its extremely powerful, vitalising properties. 

Most research I have read focuses on  thyme’s antibacterial and antifungal qualities, however, from personal experience, I have found it excellent to ward off ill health. 

The word ‘thyme’ comes from the Greek word thymon, which means ‘to fumigate’. I find when I pop a few drops in a stew, it creates a much tastier dish and boosts my vitality. 

Thyme essential oil also features in a successfully trialed blend for treating hair loss. Again, thick hair is often considered an indication of health and strength. You can also add it to cleaners and diffusers when you want to eliminate harmful microbes from your home.

It's not an oil I would recommend for relaxation, however, if you want to deep-clean your home or power-up your system, it's an excellent choice.
