Roman Chamomile is good for soothing just about anything; anxiety, sleep disorder, anger, arthritis, neuralgia, headaches, migraine and stomach problems.

A review looking at the validity of its traditional use has shown that it has a wide range of pharmacological abilities including reducing bloody pressure, acting as an anti-oxidant, anti-allergic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory agent. Research also indicates it can calm spasm of the gastrointestinal system. 

Roman Chamomile has a scent that reminds me of making daisies chains as a child in summer on my primary school's field. For me, this association means it evokes feelings of innocence and the happiness of summer and childhood play, so I find it great to use in a blend for relaxation and restoration. The scent communicates to me that this time is specifically for me to focus on my self-care. 

A blend I find particularly helpful is Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang and Roman Chamomile. I call this blend "Empowering the Divine Feminine". If you feel your feminine needs some recharging, I recommend a warm bath or shower while this blend diffuses followed by applying a body oil with this combination. Blending can easily be done in an egg cup by adding 2-3 teaspoons of jojoba oil and then 2-3 drops of Roman Chamomile followed by 1-2 drops of Clary Sage and Ylang Ylang. Enjoy!
