Although referred to as an oil, Jojoba is actually a liquid plant wax with remarkably similar properties to our skin's own sebum. Given its similarity to sebum, it is easily absorbed by the skin and rarely causes an alergic reaction. When applied topically, it softens and moisturises the skin and decreases itching and flaking, making it a great base for serums.
Jojoba oil also has an almost indiscernible scent, making it an extremely useful carrier oil.for blends with subtle scents. If you have a blend whose aroma you want to take centre stage, jojoba oil is an excellent choice of carrier.
The final fabulous quality of jojoba oil that I think deserves a mention is its longevity. You will see different estimates from suppliers ranging from a few years to forever (seems a little unlikely!). This lasting power is related to it being a wax which makes it highly resistant to oxidation and rancidity. When stored properly in a cool, dark, and airtight container away from direct light and heat, I have found it lasts for years although, in my experience, I generally use it all up before even the most pessimistic of expiry dates!

Nature Inspired Bottles
Our labels are inspired by the plants from which their contents are created. From berries to resins, flowers to leaves, they have a sketch of the part from which the carrier oil is extracted.
To make it easier to find the one you need, we made the labels all different colours, again, inspired by the plants. The labels are paper (no microplastics!) and the bottles glass, so they can be reused or recycled.
We hope you find them as informative and adorable as we do!
