Organic Geranium Essential Oil

Geranium essential oil has a beautiful floral scent. I have used it in blends both for facial serums and relaxing bath and body oils. Note that it is not to be confused with rose geranium essential oil, which is a different variety of flower. 

Like many oils, research has shown it has antibacterial and antifungal properties, particularly bacteria in difficult to heal wounds. However, its ability to reduce anxiety is its most outstanding quality. Like rose oil, it has been used to reduce anxiety in women giving birth for the first time. One study concluded that the aroma of geranium oil can effectively reduce anxiety during labor and can be recommended as a non-invasive anti-anxiety aid during childbirth. 

My own experience with geranium oil is that, like most oils, it's most effective when blended with other floral oils to create calming and beautiful blends for skincare and relaxation.
