Timeless Serum

Ingredients: Sandalwood Seed Oil with Essential Oils of Rose, Sandalwood and Frankincense

Recipe: Add the following drops to a 30ml dropper bottle:

• 2 drops of Sandalwood
• 1 drop of Rose Otto
• 3 drops of Frankincense

Then top it up with 30ml of Sandalwood Seed Oil.

Aroma: Delicate, floral and other-worldly

Story behind the serum... 

As is the case for so many products I make, the story of its first creation starts with an abundance of an oil that I didn't know what to do with...

I had bought Sandalwood Seed Oil thinking it was an inexpensive alternative to Sandalwood oil and looking forward to using it as such. Let me tell you, it is no such thing. The fragrance is far, far subtler so much so that it's not even considered an essential oil, but a carrier oil. I was disappointed, but, sensing it was a great product, I was determined to find a use for it.

To me, Sandalwood Seed Oil felt too gentle and precious to be used in a soap, so I started looking for serum recipes. I found this one and was so delighted with the results that I immediately gave two away for a couple of friends to try.

One friend left it at another friend's house when she was staying over and the friend tried it and liked it too. The other mentioned that when she was having her eyebrows done at Harvey Nichols, the woman doing them asked what she was using on her skin as she could tell a difference. Unsurprisingly, all three women wanted to buy more, including two who wanted to buy a litre of Sandalwood Seed Oil each because they liked it so much!
