Lemongrass has a powerful scent that transports me to the tropical climes where it grows. Diffusing it with Bergamot and Grapefruit can be pleasantly uplifting and empowering and it works really well in an aftershave with Sandalwood.

Traditionally, it has been used to treat sore muscles, digestive issues and anxiety. Research has shown that it can help to reduce anxiety, help with water retention by acting as a gentle diuretic and stimulating vasodilation and smooth muscle relaxation, validating these traditional uses.

I love the smell of Lemongrass and, although I appreciate it can be very pleasant in blends, I think it has a lot to offer when used alone. I find takes me to a place where I have increased mental clarity and confidence that I can achieve my objectives. When incorporated into a gentle bath soap or simply diffused on its own it helps me to connect deeply with myself and truly relax. I find bathing with a conditioning Lemongrass soap can be deeply restorative for me and a valuable twice-weekly treat.
